Based on the article 'Beautiful Monsters', about what we can learn from the way a species of cacti live with cancerous like growths in them.
I responded to this article in a less literal way and rather focused on visualising the themes of loneliness, isolation, overpowering emotions and support that grounds you.
I created this animation in response to my own mental health during this time and tried to visualise the ‘fogginess’ I feel at times and how the support from friends and family (much like the botanists and gardeners for the cacti) allows me to stabilise the fogginess, be kind and nurture myself.
